Aqaasi-e-Dhanak collection presented by the designer Zainab Chottani at Shaan-e-Pakistan fashion show 2015

Designer Zainab Chottani showcased her Aqaasi-e-Dhanak collection at the esteemed Shaan-e-Pakistan fashion show and gala in  Delhi, India on 12th September.

“Aqaasi-e-Dhanak” is a sequel of Chottani’s previous collection, ‘Dhanak’ that was inspired by moonlight romance. Indeed, the ultra-romantic collection displayed an exquisite assortment of delicate trousseau with tailored cut graced with sheer net fabric. French lace, beautifully multicolor shades, floral appliqués and spectacular shimmery Swarovski detail embellish the ethereal creations of collection.

With elegant fit and fabrics, the collection is the most discerning of brides. The collection displayed fabrics such as silk to nets and banarsi fabrics with kora, dabka, gota, pearls and Swarovski crystals used for the embellishments.

The three day Fashion and Lifestyle event was initiated on Thursday 10th September 2015 with a gala night ‘Ek Shaam Pakistan ke Naam’ where qawali legend Amjad Sabri (also known as one of the Roving Ambassadors for Pakistan) took stage to enthrall the audience with his soulful baritone in a fusion of Indo-Pak cultural sangeet. The event also entailed food and flavours of Pakistan and India where celebrated Gulzar Hussain from Pakistan and Osama Jalali from India took guests’ palate through a Sub-continental culinary journey.
