Jaecoo J5 SHS PHEV Launched in Pakistan: Prices, Specs, and Booking Details Revealed

KARACHI: Nixon Auto, a subsidiary of Nishat Group, has officially revealed the prices and full technical specifications of the much-anticipated Jaecoo J5 SHS PHEV in Pakistan.

Following the strong market response to the Jaecoo J7, the new J5 enters the subcompact hybrid SUV category with locally assembled units. The model aims to bring premium hybrid technology to buyers at a price point traditionally dominated by sedans.

Prices in Pakistan

Jaecoo has positioned the J5 aggressively. The Comfort variant is priced at Rs 6,699,000, while the Premium variant costs Rs 7,699,000. These introductory prices are valid until March 10, 2026.

Notably, the base J5 is priced on par with the Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 CVT, signaling the brand’s strategy to offer hybrid SUVs as a realistic alternative to conventional sedans.

Powertrain and Performance

Both variants are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid system producing 221 horsepower and 295 Nm of torque. The setup enables a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds.

The vehicle uses a 1.83 kWh hybrid battery and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.8 km per liter, making it suitable for both city driving and longer journeys.

Size and Segment Positioning

The Jaecoo J5 measures 4,380 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. These dimensions place it directly against popular crossovers such as the Toyota Corolla Cross.

Design and Interior

On the outside, the J5 features a bold waterfall-style front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin follows a clean, nature-inspired design theme. Key highlights include a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and an eight-speaker premium audio system.

Safety and Technology

The Premium variant comes well equipped with advanced safety and convenience features, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, a 540-degree panoramic camera, six airbags, acoustic glass, anti-pinch windows, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging.

Bookings and Deliveries

Bookings for the Jaecoo J5 are now open with a partial payment of Rs 1,500,000. According to the company, the first batch of deliveries is expected in February 2026.
