Maryam Nawaz interviews Professors for VC position

LAHORE: Professors applying to be appointed as vice chancellors (VC) of 25 public universities in the state are now being interviewed by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

On Monday, the interviews with eleven candidates were concluded,sources.

In the next days, more applicants will be in for interviews to be appointed as permanent vice governors (VCs).

A summary of the results will then be forwarded to the governor’s office.

For a period of four years, the 25 public sector universities in Punjab will appoint vice chancellors.

According to the sources, the secretariat had also invited applicants to come in for interviews with the chief medical officer (CM) for open positions at other cities’ institutions.

During the upcoming week, the summary of the chosen VCs is probably going to be released.
