University of Sahiwal Marks International Anti-Corruption Day

In commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day, the University of Sahiwal hosted an awareness seminar on combating corruption. The event, overseen by Chairman Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, was organized by BS Criminology students from the Department of Law & Criminology under the guidance of Mr. Asif Naveed.

The seminar explored the definitions, causes, and impacts of corruption in Pakistan, as well as potential solutions and global corruption indexes. Keynote speaker Mr. Muhammad Asif Javed, Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Sahiwal Region, shared expert insights on combating corruption and emphasized the need for accountability.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, Registrar Syed Ghulam Ali Asghar, and faculty members Dr. Hafiz Abdul Rehman, Ms. Farah Deeba, Mirza Omer Abdullah, and Ms. Umber Noreen. The attendees participated in a symbolic walk to commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day.

The seminar concluded on a high note, inspiring attendees to take meaningful steps toward a transparent and equitable society.
