Sahiwal (clickdailynews) Under the direction of Vice Chancellor University of Sahiwal Prof. Dr. Javed Akhtar, Majeed Amjad Literary Society organized a Mushaira in which prominent poets of the country participated.

The Mushaira was presided over by the pioneer poet of Urdu Ghazal, Abbas Tabish, while the special guests included Shaukat Fahmi, Nadeem Najid, Sarwar Khan Sarwar and Mustafa Anwar. A large number of male and female students participated in the Mushaira. Poet Controller of Examinations Mubasher Saeed, the host of the Mushaira, also recited his speech, while the guest poets included Asim Aslam, Zeeshan Khan, Azhar ul Haq and Hamza Ejaz Sahil.

2 Mushaira

The Mushaira was organized by Majeed Amjad Literary Society President Muhammad Roshan ul Haq. All the poets, including the president of Mushaira, Abbas Tabish, appreciated the efforts of the entire team of Mubasher Saeed and Majeed Amjad Literary Society for providing such a beautiful literary environment in Jamia Sahiwal.

The registrar, Jamia Sahiwal Syed Ghulam Ali Asghar, Director of Student Affairs Dr. Waseem Tufail, Director ORIC Dr. Muhammad Ayub, and Head of English Department Dr. Shabir Jan participated in the Mushaira. Thanks to the poets. He highlighted the importance of participation of students in such positive activities and announced to organize such activities in Jamia Sahiwal.
