According to a recent estimate from Counterpoint Research, the best-selling phone in the first quarter of 2025 was Apple’s new iPhone 16. The three iPhone 16 versions, the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 Pro, were ranked first, second, and third, respectively. This represents a modest shift from previous year, when the iPhone 15 Pro Max was at the top.

The ‘iPhone 15’ is ranked fourth, and the ‘iPhone 16 Plus’ is ranked tenth, with Android mobile devices accounting for the remainder of the list.
The best-selling Android phone so far in 2025 has been Samsung, which is not surprising, but unlike last year, the best-selling mobile phones did not include Samsung’s flagship model.
