Sohail Afridi The New Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Muhammad Sohail Afridi as the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking the rise of a young and energetic leader from the province’s tribal district of Khyber. Known for his dynamic leadership style and growing influence, Sohail Afridi represents the new generation of PTI politicians focused on development and reform.

Afridi first entered the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly after winning the PK-70 (Khyber District) seat in the 2018 general elections. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, he began his political journey through the Insaf Students Federation (ISF) — PTI’s student wing — where he developed his political acumen and deepened his commitment to party ideals.

During his tenure as a Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA), Sohail Afridi actively contributed to numerous infrastructure and development projects, particularly in the Khyber region. His efforts earned him a place in the provincial cabinet as the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Construction and Communications, where he oversaw key public works and road projects.

Recently, he was promoted to ministerial rank and entrusted with the Department of Higher Education, where his effective management and balanced approach to governance were widely appreciated within the party ranks.

According to PTI leadership, Sohail Afridi embodies the qualities of a visionary, capable, and forward-looking leader. His appointment as Chief Minister is being viewed as the beginning of a new phase of progress, stability, and administrative excellence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
