The Shawwal moon has been seen in Saudi Arabia, and Eid-ul-Fitr will be held on Sunday, March 30.
According to the kingdom’s official news agency SPA, following the moon sighting, the Saudi Supreme Court’s Ruet-e-Hilal Department announced on Saturday that ‘the beginning of Shawwal 1446 AH will be on Sunday, March 30.’
On this occasion, the Supreme Court’s Ruet-e-Hilal Department congratulated Saudi King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and all citizens, residents, and Muslims.
The Saudi Supreme Court also issued special prayers for the kingdom’s security, safety, and prosperity.
It should be recalled that the Saudi Supreme Court issued a plea to the public on Saturday to look for the Shawwal Moon.
Eid is officially announced only after the moon is sighted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Supreme Court also directs the sighting committees to call regional court offices or appropriate organizations in the area as soon as the moon is visible and to record testimony.
