Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nehal Hashmi took oath as the new Governor of Sindh. The oath was administered by Zafar Ahmed Rajput, Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Murad Ali Shah, along with provincial ministers Zia Lanjar, Nasir Hussain Shah, and Zulfiqar Shah.
Murtaza Wahab, Bashir Memon, Ali Akbar Gujjar, as well as several local PML-N leaders and party workers also attended the ceremony.
It is worth noting that the decision to appoint Nehal Hashmi as Governor of Sindh was taken a day earlier, and his appointment was approved by Asif Ali Zardari.
Prior to taking oath, Governor-designate Nehal Hashmi also met Shehbaz Sharif, who congratulated him on his appointment as Sindh Governor.
