Laptop Distribution Ceremony at COMSATS Sahiwal under PM Youth Scheme

A grand ceremony of distributing laptops under the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme at Comsats University Sahiwal

Sahiwal (News Reporter) The Government of Pakistan is taking serious steps to equip the youth with modern education and modern technology, in which the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme is a milestone. These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq while addressing a ceremony to distribute laptops at Comsats University Sahiwal campus.

Role of Comsats in educational development

The Deputy Commissioner, while appreciating the services of Comsats University, said:

“Comsats University has become a shining metaphor for educational development in this region. The professional services of the university administration and faculty are undoubtedly commendable.”

He further said that educational institutions are the backbone of the development and progress of any society and the district administration will continue its full cooperation for the improvement of the campus and enhancing the quality of education.

Demands and assurances of the district administration

Director Campus Prof. Dr. Mazhar Amjad Gilani presented the performance report of the university and paid tribute to the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner for the overall development of Sahiwal city. He also identified some important issues regarding the university, which include:

1. Provision of more area for expansion of the campus.

2. Repair of COMSATS Road from View Hotel to the campus.

3. Beautification of the canal adjacent to the university.

Deputy Commissioner Capt. (R) Samiullah Farooq listened carefully to all these demands and assured to resolve them on priority basis.

Laptop Distribution

At the end of the ceremony, laptops were distributed among the meritorious students. On this occasion, the students appreciated the initiative of the government and vowed to utilize these resources to the fullest for their educational and research activities.
