Women’s T20 World Cup: India beat Pakistan by 6 wickets

In the seventh match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 6 wickets.

In the match played in Dubai on Sunday, India achieved the target of 106 runs given by Pakistan at the loss of four wickets in 18.5 overs.

For India, Shafali Verma scored 32 runs, Harmanpreet Kaur scored 29 runs and Jemima Rodriguez scored 23 runs.

For Pakistan, Fatima Sana took two wickets while Sadia Iqbal and Umaima Sohail took one wicket each.

Earlier, the Pakistan Women’s team won the toss and decided to bat first, after which the green shirts could score only 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

On behalf of Pakistan, Nida Dar scored 28 runs, Muniba Ali scored 17 runs and Syeda Aroob Shah scored 14 runs.

For India, Arun Dhathi Reddy took three wickets, Shreyanka Patel two and Renuka Singh one.

This was the second match between the two teams in the event.

Earlier, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in their first match while India lost to New Zealand in their first match.
