Explanation regarding the firing incident in Chak No. 44/12L Chichawatni
There is news circulating in some social media groups that Constable Shehryar has been injured in firing by unknown persons at Chak No. 44/12l Chichawatni.
However, Sahiwal Police considers it necessary to clarify in this regard that Constable Shehryar was posted in Police Line Sahiwal and has been absent for the past one week.
So far, Sahiwal Police has not received any information about Constable Shehryar being injured in firing.
In addition, DPO Sahiwal Rana Tahir Rehman Khan has issued instructions to SHO Saddar ChichaWatni Police Station, Sub-Inspector Mudassar Ghaffar to thoroughly investigate the matter and bring out the facts and confirm any rumors or false information.
On the other hand, according to SHO Saddar ChichaWatni Police Station, case number 331/25 has been registered against Constable Shehryar’s brother Hamza under the provisions of attempt to murder in Saddar ChichaWatni Police Station, in which the accused Hamza is in custody.
All the facts will be brought out soon after further investigation.
