This was the saying of Amjad Javed, a young man from Kashmir, who after obtaining a civil engineering degree went to the Middle East in search of employment and was able to get a good job.
He said that ‘Engineering is a field in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries that has wide job opportunities. If you also have this degree, then you will be able to get a good job.
Like Amjad Javed, if you also go abroad after obtaining a degree from Pakistan that is in demand there, it will be easier for you to get a better job.
 The News has tried to find out from immigration experts which professional degrees are helpful in getting jobs abroad.
Immigration expert Muhammad Anas Idris, who has experience working in education consultancy, believes that in the current international scenario, only a suitable degree can get you a good job abroad.
‘In this context, different educational degrees are considered suitable for different countries.’
Muhammad Anas Idris says that there is a high demand for degrees related to them in the Middle East due to natural resources and construction work.
‘In Middle Eastern countries, young people with degrees in sustainable energy, project management, petroleum engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and automotive engineering are given priority when hiring.’

Which degrees are in high demand in Europe and America?

According to Anas Idris, degrees related to information technology, artificial intelligence, data sciences and computer sciences are in high demand in countries with tech-based economies, including the US, Germany, France and Canada.
‘There is also a significant demand for degrees in information technology in the UK, however, the UK has a unique identity in the world regarding advocacy (Bar at Law), so the demand for this field is also high there.’

According to Diplomatic and Immigration Laws Expert Barrister Muhammad Sajid Majeed, there are more job opportunities for young people with professional degrees of graduation, masters and PhD in Europe and the US.
He told Urdu News that in the Middle East, youth with professional degrees are given priority in employment.
‘Young people from Pakistan who go abroad not only for employment but also for education have the same priorities. If you do not prepare by keeping in mind the needs there before going abroad, then getting a job can prove to be a difficult process.’
