Sahiwal (Clickdailynews) The Governor of Punjab has appointed the renowned educationist of the country, Dr. Javed Akhtar, as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sahiwal. The Higher Education Department has issued a formal notification to appoint Dr. Javed Akhtar as Vice Chancellor for four years and he has also assumed charge of his post. On this occasion, he expressed his determination that he will make great efforts to make the university a standard institution of higher education and to promote research among students. On the appointment of Dr. Javed Akhtar, the educational circles of the city and the civil society have also expressed their happiness and hoped that under his leadership the university will continue to provide quality education to the students.
