Defeated Sri Lanka, Pakistan in SAFF U-17 Football Championship semi-finals
Pakistan have qualified for the semi-finals of the SAFF U-17 Championship by defeating Sri Lanka.
Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets to one in their final group match on Wednesday.
On behalf of Pakistan, Subhan Karim scored two goals while Talha and Abdul Ghani scored one goal each.
By the end of the first half, Pakistan was leading by three goals to zero.
The Sri Lankan team scored their only goal of the game in the 76th minute. Pakistan’s fifth score was in the form of ‘one goal’.
Earlier, in the second match of the group, the match between Pakistan and Bhutan was tied with 3-3 goals.
By the end of the full time of the match, Pakistan was leading by three goals to one, but in the injury time, Bhutan played a great game on the home ground and deprived Pakistan of a sure victory.
In the injury time, Bhutan not only equalized the match by scoring two goals, but also deprived Pakistan of a sure victory.
Earlier, Pakistan defeated Nepal 0-1 in the first match. The Pakistani team is undefeated in this tournament so far.
