Patrol Police Recover 45 Liters of Illegal Liquor in Chichawatni, Three Arrested
Sahiwal: Chichawatni Patrol Post Chandni Chowk conducted a successful operation against illegal liquor sellers, recovering a total of 45 liters of locally brewed liquor and arresting three suspects.
The operation was carried out on the directions of SP Patrol Police Sahiwal Region Ghazi Umar Farooq and under the supervision of DSP Patrol Police Sahiwal Azhar Abbas Gul.
During routine patrolling, Sub-Inspector Rana Ali Imran arrested Muhammad Yasin, a resident of Kamalia, and recovered 13 liters of country liquor from his possession.
In a separate operation, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zahid, serving as Admin Officer, arrested Altaf Hussain, a resident of Sahiwal, and recovered 18 liters of country liquor. Another suspect, Shehzad Ahmed, a resident of Kamalia, was also arrested, and 14 liters of country liquor were recovered from his possession.
Following the recoveries, three separate cases were registered against the accused at Chichawatni Police Station.
Speaking to reporters, In-charge Patrol Post Chandni Chowk Sub-Inspector Rana Ali Imran said that strict action against drug and liquor dealers will continue in accordance with the directions of senior officers. He stated that narcotics and illegal liquor are a serious threat to society and the younger generation, adding that effective patrolling in the area has helped reduce criminal activities.
