The Punjab government has taken strict action following a disturbing incident at Lady Willingdon Hospital Lahore, where a patient undergoing a C-section was allegedly videotaped.
Authorities have suspended the postgraduate training of four doctors: Dr. Tayyaba Fatima Toor, Dr. Maham Amin, Dr. Zainab Tahir, and Dr. Ayesha Afzal. The incident has been termed a serious case of negligence and violation of patient privacy.
In addition, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent Dr. Farah Inam and Head of Gynecology Prof. Dr. Uzma Hussain have been directed to submit their explanations within three days.
The case has raised serious concerns about medical ethics, patient dignity, and hospital oversight in public healthcare institutions.
