​During the last 24 hours, Sahiwal police have detained 52 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sahiwal workers, officials and social media activists.

Sahiwal  According to police sources, the arrests were made at different times and places. The arrested persons have been kept in Harappa, Kasowal, Bahadur Shah and Farid Town police stations.
These workers were demanding that PTI founding chairman Imran Khan be provided immediate medical facilities and be released on medical grounds.
​Reasons for the arrests
​ Police say these operations were carried out in response to the following activities:
​Protest demonstrations: Rounding up of workers protesting on the streets.
​Social media campaign: Identifying activists promoting the party leadership and the protest narrative.
Current Situation
Police are releasing individuals who submit an affidavit stating that they will not be part of any physical protests or social media campaigns in the future.
