The University of Okara is all set to reopen as per the instructions of the government with blended learning and COVID-19 SOPs, said the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar while addressing to a meeting of the faculty.
The VC told that social distancing, wearing of masks, sterilization & sanitization and a mix of online and on-campus classes would be the new normal in the post-COVID reopening of the educational institutions.
He appreciated his faculty for successfully running the e-learning system during the lockdown period and urged them to improvise this further for future.
Dr Zakar also stressed the need of building strong linkages between university and industry in order to provide more realistic and practical experience to the students. He advised the teachers to focus on research and publications.
“This is an era of the globalization of knowledge and scholarship. In order to cope in the international educational regime, every university teacher must focus on scientific competence and scholarly contribution”, said the VC.
