Saudi Arabia extends visas to Pakistanis
The Saudi government has announced a three-month extension of entry-exit visas for Pakistani workers due to the Corona virus and waiving visa extension fees by December.
The Saudi government has instructed companies not to sack Pakistanis for three months and to pay salaries for three months.
Zulfi Bukhari, Special Assistant to Pakistan’s Overseas Pakistanis, contacted Abdullah bin Nasir, a senior official of the Saudi Ministry of Manpower, on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistanis across the border, Zulfi Bukhari discussed the issues and possible solutions to the problems faced by the Pakistani labor and labor community.
Speaking on the occasion, Zulfi Bukhari said, “We want to meet the needs of all kinds of compatriots in this time of difficulty.
Saudi authorities are requested to increase cooperation with Pakistani workers. We also request special measures for the return of Pakistanis. ”
Abdullah bin Nasir assured Zulfi Bukhari of full cooperation, saying that “Saudi Arabia has decided to extend the period of entry and exit visa. By December, the extension of visas for Pakistani workers will be absolutely free.”
“Saudi companies will not sack the workers for the next three months, while all employees will be paid salaries for 3 months,” he said.
“The employees who have been fired so far will also be supported,” the Saudi official said. Pakistani workers will be paid full salaries and arrears.
Saudi Arabia also announced to free STCP facility for sending Pakistan money.
Assistant Special Zulfiqa Bukhari thanked the Saudi High Commissioner for assuring full cooperation and agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in difficult times. The two also discussed on starting the flight operation soon
